La ganader\u00eda toma su nombre, payoya, del municipio gaditano Villaluenga del Rosario a cuyos habitantes se les llama payoyos y en cuya sierra, Grazalema, junto con la de Ronda se cr\u00eda esta raza en peligro de extinci\u00f3n.
